Uttarakhand forest officials arrested 3 professional tiger poachers belongs to a traditional hunting tribal community called bawaria based currently at Pinjore, Haryana on 5 June 2012. They were arrested in connection with attempted poaching in Corbett tiger reserve on 24th May. One of the arrested accused is wanted in a tiger skin seizure case registered in Valmiki tiger reserve, Bihar detected by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on December 2006.
