Goa police arrested eight persons with snake venom at Ponda, North Goa district. Recently several incidents of such seizures were reported from different parts of the country including Haridwar and Ghaziabad. It need to be investigated further that the seized venom is fake or real. Real venom is useless when carry it in careless manner.

This is really bad. Venom buyers have got into Goa too. And the network seems to be at large looking at the the arrested people's geographical location and their job profile..
ReplyDeleteOne of the arrested is a very known person to me and I used to go and sit with him to have a word regarding SLR cameras, and he never asked about snakes or their venom even though he knew that I rescue snakes. Shocking but not surprising.. People can do anything for quick money.
Hoping that people learn from this racket and no such incidents repeat.
