Tigress electrocuted in Katni division

One tigress was electrocuted from a low hanging 11KV hightension line at Katni forest division, adjoining to Bandhavgarh tiger reserve, Madhya Pradesh on 16 November 2012 and its body found yesterday. Tigress was following a cattle during the time of incident, both animals were killed due to electrocution.

Red Sanders seized in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh

Last month several seizures of red sanders reported from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh including an attempt to smuggle from Mangalore port and Hyderabad.
